Meningoencephalitis due to acquired toxoplasmosis
Infections of the brain caused by the protozoan toxoplasma gondii that primarily arise in individuals with immunologic deficiency syndromes see also aids-related opportunistic infections). The infection may involve the brain diffusely or form discrete abscesses.
