Acute myeloid leukemia with dysplasia of remaining hematopoesis and/or myelodysplastic disease in its history
An acute myeloid leukemia arising de novo and not as a result of treatment. It is characterized by the presence of myelodysplastic features in at least 50% of the cells of at least two hematopoietic cell lines. Patients often present with severe cytopenia.
